Another Reflection to comment on

I have trouble determining if the curve is sine or cosine. The two curves look very similar except for the fact that the points start in different places.

  1. if the first point starts on the x axis, it is a sine curve????

if the first point starts above or below the x axis, it is a cosine curve??

correct me if im wrong :)

  2. The difference of cosine and sine graphs is that the sine graph starts on the x- axis. The cosine graph starts either above or below the x- axis.

  3. haha yeah this one is pretty easy =] if the curve starts on the x-axis it is a sin graph, if it starts above or below it is a cosine graph...haha I like this question

  4. pretty much, a curve can be either. you just have to decide which trig function you'd rather work with. remember *sin goes through the origin, cos goes through (0,1)or (0,-1)
